Slow Travel?

Slow Travel is a philosophy, a way of movement and stillness, and a website. Further it’s a community of friends and travel enthusiasts who support each other and encourage their lifestyle. What Slow Travel means–as the term suggests–is taking your time and slowing down to really enjoy your trip.

Slow Travel is picking up bread at the local bakery, walking back to your rental property and making a nice breakfast.

Slow Travel is not seeing the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben and the Rhine in a two day trip.

In the next few days I’ll be bringing you a conversation I had with one of the key figures in the Slow Travel movement, a movement that’s been growing more quickly than it would itself approve of, as well as a video blog of her upcoming walking tour in France.

Stay tuned!
